VALE JOHN HEALEY

Dear Members,

It is with much sadness that we advise that our esteemed member John Healey passed away on Tuesday 18th July 2023.

John was such a character and a very likable club member. John served on the Social committee for many years and John’s supper was always very enjoyable. He was a true gentleman..

John loved his fishing and loved fishing for Luderick especially up at Bemm river which is evident by the 1 plus kilo fish mounted in the club rooms.

The club has sent his wife Monica a sympathy card and flowers with a candle.

2023-2024 SEASON

Welcome to a new season as the club enters its 88th year. What an amazing achievement which is testament to all the members over the years who have dedicated their time and resources to ensure the club survives and that their love of angling through the Ormond Angling Club can continue.

The Club Calendar has been updated to include the scheduled events for 2023-2024 including trips, meetings and social events.

2021-2022 Season

We are into our (COVID abridged) 2021-2022 season, and it's great to get out with members and friends again.
We have suspended our Club Championship for this season, and instead we are fishing 2 trips per category instead of the usual 4 trips per category (i.e. 2 trps for each of Bay, Estuary, Freshwater and Surf = total 8 trips) from January to June 2022

See you on the water!

2020-2021 Season

We completed our (COVID abridged) 2020-2021 season, and while the weather has been wayward, it's still great to get out with members and friends when we can.
Western Port whiting in particular was a stand-out this season.

And we celebrated with an excellent presentation lunch at the Springvale RSL again.
Congratulations to Michael P for taking out the championship.
